Job Description:
As a Class 1 Night Trunking Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and safe delivery of goods to our clients. Your primary responsibility will involve trunking down to Birmingham, handling all RDC work during the night shift. The shift starts between 17:00 and 22:00 and typically runs for up to 10 hours per shift, contributing to our commitment to meet client expectations efficiently.
Responsibilities:
Conducting night trunking operations from our location to Birmingham.
No handball required.
Adhering to safety procedures and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
Conducting thorough vehicle inspections and reporting any maintenance or mechanical issues promptly.
Maintaining accurate records of deliveries, collections, and paperwork.
Providing exceptional customer service and representing the company in a professional manner.
Requirements:
Minimum 12 months of proven experience as a Class 1 driver.
Valid Class 1 driving licence and Driver CPC qualification.
A maximum of 6 points on your licence for minor offences.
Excellent driving skills and a strong commitment to safety.
Good knowledge of transport regulations and procedures.
Ability to work independently and efficiently, ensuring deadlines are met.
Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
